Privacy guidance for the current LocalMaker service.

Information we collect

• basic account data such as your email address if you request a passwordless sign-in link
• listing interaction data such as favorites, reviews, reports, or claim submissions once those features are enabled
• diagnostic and analytics data needed to understand page usage, performance, and product quality
• optional browser location data when you choose to share your location for nearby discovery

How we use information

We use data to operate the directory, personalize basic account features, understand how public pages are used, and improve listing quality over time. If you opt into location sharing, that signal is used to help center nearby discovery flows and should not be treated as a background tracking feature.

If favorites, reviews, reports, or claim flows are enabled, related data is used to power those features, support moderation, and investigate abuse or quality issues.

Location and map services

The product is map-first, so map providers may receive technical request data when map tiles, geocoding suggestions, or external map links are used. Optional browser location access is used only after you grant permission.

Exact arrival coordinates shown on listings describe the listing destination, not your own location history.

• Supabase for authentication, database, and storage services
• Mapbox for map and geocoding features
• Resend for transactional email delivery
• PostHog for product analytics and usage insights
• Vercel for application hosting and delivery

Retention, security, and choices

We aim to keep only the data needed to operate the service, secure accounts, investigate abuse, and maintain trustworthy listing information. Retention periods may differ by data type, legal need, and operational necessity.
